Purpose and Goals
The Warrant Officers Heritage Foundation is organized, administered, and operated exclusively to receive, administer and expend funds
as a public charity for among such other objectives and illustrative purposes only, and not by way of limitation, the following purposes within the meaning of Section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code as it may be amended from time to time:
Educate
our fellow military and the general public about the rich the history of the U. S. Army Warrant Officer Corps;
Assume responsibility and accountability for the Warrant Officer Museum Fund from the U. S. Army Warrant Officers Association (USAWOA)
(See the Origin and Status of Warrant Officer Museum Fund);
Assist in the development, creation and maintenance of items and material presenting the history and heritage of the Warrant Officer Corps.
We will endeavor to arrange placement of selected items and materials in the National Museum of the United States Army being planned for Fort Belvoir, VA;
We will endeavor to design,
fund, and maintain a Memorial to Our Fallen Warrant Officer Comrades
at the planned the National Museum of the United States Army;
Develop fund raising methodology to support the programs of the foundation;
Distribute funds raised in a manner that supports the goals of education of the general public on the history of the Warrant Officer Corps;
and
Produce and publish a Warrant Officer
History Book covering the period July 1918 to September 2006, the royalties
of which will support our other projects -

Chapters
Qualify for "WO HERITAGE SUPPORTER" Streamers
Five additional USAWOA Chapters have qualified for WO Heritage Supporter
streamers for their Chapter Flag. Presenters have been arranged and streamers
have been mailed for presentation to the Morning Calm, Above the Best, Lord
Fairfax, Star of the North, and Florida Sunshine Chapters. Is your Chapter
going to meet the 35th USAWOA Annual Meeting of the Members challenge and make
a $250 donation by the 36th AMM in October? All donation at this time go
towards the construction of a Memorial to Our Fallen Warrant Officer Comrades.

This
Warrant Officers Heritage Foundation article commemorates the upcoming 90th
Birthday of the Army Warrant Officer in July 2008. The article contains

USAWOA Southeast Regional Meeting
nets Donations

During
their Regional Meeting on April 19th two Chapters stepped forward with their
$250 donation to the Warrant Officers Heritage Found. These donations are to
meet the National Challenge issued by USAWOA at the 35th Annual Meeting of the
Members.

Warrant
Officers Heritage Foundation Historian Emeritus CW4 (Ret) Don Hess
presented a "WO Heritage Supporter" flag streamer which was accepted by
CW4 (Ret) Roy Valiant, USAWOA National President on behalf of
the Association on April 18, 2008. The streamer was awarded to USAWOA
by the Foundation in recognition of the transfer of
ownership of
the Museum Fund and the support
rendered to the Foundation over the last five years.

Recognition of Donations
The Warrant Officers Heritage
Foundation is pleased to announce that beginning in January 2008 to
recognize the Members and Chapters who answer the challenges issued at
USAWOA Annual Meetings over the last few years.
All
donations at this time all go to fund a Memorial to Fallen Army Warrant
Officers over the history of the U. S. Army. Our goal is to construct the
memorial in the Memorial Garden at the National Museum of the U.S. Army at
Fort Belvoir, VA.
Individuals who donate $100 or more over a 12-month period will receive a
specially produced 2" round coin with original brass Eagle Rising in the
center. The current WO rank insignia appears on the body of the Eagle. The
circle on the front of the coin is inscribed "Warrant Officers Heritage
Foundation" and the reverse is inscribed "Preserving Our Warrant Officer
History." (See our logo at the top of this page)
Chapters who donate $250 or more over a 12-month period will receive a brown
flag streamer with the inscription "WO Heritage Supporter" embroidered in
gold.
Eligibility for recognition under the above program is retroactive to the
establishment of the Foundation.
All donations, without regard to
size, will be acknowledged in writing for tax deduction purposes.
